Embarking on journey of educational synergy Liu Xiaohui, President of RDFZ, alongside her team, ventured to CityU (DG) on 29 November 2024. The delegation’s journey through the scientific sanctuaries of Songshan Lake, including the China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) and the Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory (SLML), was a testament to the fertile ground for research and innovation that surrounds CityU (DG). Their campus exploration revealed CityU (DG)'s guiding educational principles and achievements in research. Prof Lu Chun, Vice-President of CityU and Executive President of CityU (DG) played host, showcasing the strategic advantages offered by the university's locale which serves as a catalyst for academic and practical exploration. Igniting minds with innovative ideas Highlighting the collaborative spirit, CityU (DG) Vice President Prof Liu Zishun took to the stage at RDFZ in Beijing to demystify the realms of soft machines and intelligent structures. His lecture, aimed at high school sophomores, sought to kindle their interest in the avant-garde fields of science and technology, encouraging them to pursue curiosity with vigour. Forging nexus for international talent The formal establishment of an “International Talent Student Pool Base” in RDFZ for CityU (DG) marks a pivotal moment. Mr Xue Zheng, Assistant to President and Director of Student Development Office of CityU (DG), presented the plaque to RDFZ President Ms Liu Xiaohui. This partnership is not merely a memorandum of understanding but a bridge connecting two institutions in their shared quest to mould future leaders ready to make their mark on the world stage.
