Breadcrumb Home / University NewsCenter / CPPCC Dongguan members trained at CityUHK (DG) CPPCC Dongguan members trained at CityUHK (DG) 23 May 2025 In May 2025, the Dongguan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference organised two training sessions at City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan) (CityUHK (DG)) , attended by nearly 100 members. The programme strengthened collaboration between the municipal advisory body and the university while broadening participants’ perspectives and refining their policy advisory capabilities. Leveraging CityUHK (DG)’s global academic resources, the training courses addressed national development strategies, regional governance innovation, technology-industry integration, and market policy research. Courses, led by CityUHK (DG) academics and external experts, covered evolving international geopolitics, modern social governance, new quality productive forces, and cutting-edge technological applications, emphasising interdisciplinary approaches. A blended learning model combined theoretical instruction with field visits to innovation hubs across the Greater Bay Area, including the South China Technology Transfer Centre, Guangzhou Nansha Mingzhu Modern Agricultural Park, Dongguan Binhaiwan New Area, Shenzhen Guangming Science City, and Dongguan Songshan Lake Science City. These practical engagements aimed to deepen members’ understanding of regional innovation trends, equipping them to contribute more effectively to policymaking.
