In its initial phase, CityU (DG) will set up several colleges, such as College of Science, College of Engineering, and College of Business for the programs. Simultaneously, aligning with the nation's emerging fields, key industrial developments, and the university's four cutting-edge interdisciplinary academic areas, CityU (DG) will launch forward-looking academic courses in directions such as Computer Science, Data Science, Electronic and Information Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Intelligent Manufacturing, Advanced Materials, New Energy, and Digital Economy.

Planned Undergraduate Programs

MATERIALS SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING

The comfort and convenience of modern life are closely related to the discovery, manipulation, and selection of natural and synthetic materials. Through the courses, students can unlock various possibilities of different objects, such as waterproof clothing with water-repellent nanotechnology and creating products that combine multiple advantages using composite materials (like fiberglass).

COMPUTER SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

In addition to acquiring a broad knowledge of computer science, students can also choose to specialize in different technology streams, such as artificial intelligence, information security, multimedia, software engineering/project management, or data science. Career paths for students include professional software developers, system architects, system analysts, technology officers, etc.

ENERGY AND POWER ENGINEERING

The continuously increasing energy demand and dependence on fossil fuels have led to challenges like energy security, pollution, and climate change. Energy engineering transcends the boundaries of traditional engineering disciplines, offering innovative solutions to address and solve the urgent energy issues and associated environmental problems of modern society.

INTELLIGENT MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING

Providing top-tier engineering knowledge and techniques to build "technology-driven" manufacturing models and operational systems. The curriculum allows students to deepen their expertise in different professional areas such as the industrial Internet, smart cities, logistics and supply chains, robotics, and automation, paving the way for successful career development in the era of Industry 4.0.
