CityUHK continues to lead in two key areas, ranking first globally for “Industry” and first in Hong Kong for “International Outlook”, underscoring its excellence in industrial collaboration and global partnerships. THE World University Rankings 2026 evaluated 2,191 universities across 115 countries or territories, reflecting an increasingly competitive landscape. The rankings use 18 indicators to assess performance across five major pillars: Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, International Outlook and Industry. CityUHK has earned a perfect score in the Industry pillar for three consecutive years, maintaining its position as the top university globally in this category. The University also excels in internationalisation, having been named the “Most International University in the World” by THE for two consecutive years in 2024 and 2025, CityUHK retained its top spot in Hong Kong for International Outlook for the eighth consecutive year in the latest rankings, reflecting the prominent results of its global strategy.
