Associate Vice-President (Operation) of City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan)

Mr Cheng Junxiang earned his bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Northwest University in China in 1996. With extensive experience in campus planning, construction, operation and management within higher education institutions, Mr Cheng has played various management roles at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) from 2012 to 2024. His positions there included Deputy Director of the Secretariat of the Board of Trustees, Director of the Department of Logistics, Director of the Office of Administration and Space Management, Director of the Office of Campus Development, and Acting Director of the Office of Campus Planning. Additionally, Mr Cheng has contributed to the field through his authorship of a book on SUSTech’s campus planning and construction.

Beyond his experience in higher education, Mr Cheng also served as Deputy Director of the Taiwan News Coverage Centre for the Shenzhen Press Group and was recognized as a Senior Journalist in 2012. He published a book of nonfiction stories on Shenzhen's aid to earthquake-stricken areas in 2008 and was named Outstanding Journalist of Guangdong Province in 2009.
