To promote academic exchanges in the discipline, help faculty and students grasp the cutting-edge trends in computer applications and information technology, and broaden research horizons, City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan) invites Prof. Kay Chen Tan from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University to deliver a distinguished lecture entitled "Recent Advances in Evolutionary Transfer Optimization and Applications" during the 5th International Symposium on Computer Applications and Information Technology (ISCAIT 2026). Prof. Kay Chen Tan is Head and Chair Professor (Computational Intelligence) of the Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is also an IEEE Fellow and an Honorary Professor at the University of Nottingham in the UK. He has achieved remarkable academic accomplishments, with 8 co-authored monographs and over 400 research papers published in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. Having served as Vice-President (Publications) of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (2021-2024), he was also Editor-in-Chief of top journals in the field, including IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation (2015-2020) and IEEE Computational Intelligence Magazine (2010-2013), and is currently the Chief Co-Editor of the Springer Book Series on Machine Learning. He has made outstanding contributions to academic research and the development of discipline. For more information, please refer to the attached lecture poster.
